About

This course is designed to be an introduction to the field of international relations. International relations is essentially the study of cooperation and conflict between states in the international system. This course will introduce students to how and why those two things happen through the lens of international relations theory. We cover topics such as international conflict, international organizations, international political economy, human rights, and foreign policy.

The goal is to better understand real-world international events and to gain an understanding of international relations as a broad field of study. This course prepares students for more advanced courses in international relations.
